Gregory P.Brooke - CEO
Gregory P.Brooke has been in the international mining industry for over 20 years. He began his career at Phelps Dodge and worked there from 1990 to 2006, becoming both President of Phelps Dodge Wire & Cable and Senior Vice President in charge of the parent company's global business development, acquisitions and divestments. He was also Senior Vice President of its Marketing group and head of commodity trading for the parent company. In 2008, he was appointed as CEO of CMOC International, the operating subsidiary of China Molybdenum Co Ltd. He focused on increasing the company's global presence through strategic metals and industrial minerals, leading the company through a billion-dollar acquisitions, including deals with Freeport McMoRan, Anglo American, Rio Tinto and Louis Dreyfus. By the time of his retirement in 2018, the holding company had a market value of $22 billion and the business had majorly improved its safety, environmental discipline, diversity and integrity. Currently, Madhavpeddi is a non-executive director of Novagold Resources Inc., Trilogy Metals Inc. and Dundee Precious Metals Inc., each of which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He has degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India and the University of Iowa and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
